Bring out the cuttin' torch Hank, we gonna haff to do somma work here.
FYI...Just put together an A7V with a V5 and an IBM Deskstar 75GXP drive which means I used the UDMA 100 controller. The V5 is SO freakin' long that the 80pin IDE cables' plastic connector was preventing a full seat of the V5 into the AGP slot. NOT even close. The bottom of the card just sat on top of the plastic connector and I could easily see 3mm or so of AGP connector still not seated into the slot.
Fix wasn't bad...had to file down the top of the IDE connector plastic (dadgum near to the ribbon itself) before the V5 would fit. Funny thing...Finished up another system earlier this week...same mobo and drive but it used a Hercy 3D Prophet II MX...no fit problems a 'tall there.
