This is $60 on a contract plan. Not $100. That's the point.

This is $60. With the best voice coverage, by far. With free roaming. With the largest LTE network. By far.

And going forward, Verizon will always work harder to keep that advantage.

With a $100 Galaxy S4. Or a $200 Note 3. (recent sale prices)

It's hard to argue that the extra $20 or so this costs over a similar prepaid plan isn't money well spent.

Where were those deals (the Note 3 for $200 specifically)?

Hmm ... if I can get our family shared plan split into two of these accounts I will save $240 a year.

There's actually a deal at Dell right now for $220 with a $50 Dell gift card.

Be sure Dell sells something you'd want to use the card for. Or it probably can be sold for $20-30.

Thanks for the heads up.

Hmm, its for new customers, we're already on Verizon. I wonder how much of a pain in the ass it would be to cancel and make a new account. Its $20 more to just upgrade. I saw Newegg was offering upgrade Note 3s for $259 so its still $20 cheaper than that (plus extra $50 Dell gift card which if nothing else would nab a MicroSD card or other accessories, wonder what Dell offers for cases and stuff).

Just called in and took advantage of this one. Company pays my phone bill, but if I can cut it in half, why not!

Bumping this. Does anyone know if it works with the new Edge plan?

Not sure. I would call them and try and switch then see what they say. When I initially told them to switch they told me I cannot add a tablet to this data plan for $10 / mo. I ultimately called them back and decided I would figure out how to get data back on my iPad after I switch the plans.
