FX6600 256MB or FX6800 128MB?

I'm looking to get a video card, I'm running an FX5900 w/128 now, and was wondering about how much difference there is between the FX6600 w/256 MB of RAM and the FX6800 w/128MB of RAM.
I don't want to spend too much cash on it because I plan to build a new system right after the new year.

Thanks

there is no fx6600 or fx6800 they're jsut called the 6800 and 6600. anyway,
the 6600 is a low clocked 8pp,3vs pos. 256mb isworthless since the bandwith(500mhz combined with 128bit) is so low.
It overclcoks well ,but stock, is a very poor choice for the money.
the 6800 is a 12pipe 5vs medium clocked midrange card. It has about equal fillrate as the 6600gt which is a very high clocked 6600, and due to it's 256bit, 700mhz memory, it has much more bandwith than the 6600 or the 6600gt, helping it lead at higher resolutions or when aa is turned on. The 6800 ocs well too.

get the 6800. the 6600 is severely outdated.
the 6800 can be unlocked bto 16pp/6vs around half the time fore even more performance gains.

Thanks mwmorph, good info, it helps me a lot. I've been leaning towards the 6800, and now I think it's official 😉
