would be playing at 1080p on high details(some medium) with a bit of AA. Would this cpu+gpu be good at that res for next 2 year? thx

Yes, my stock 6300 + 7870 (non XT) hits 50FPS+ in Crysis 3 at

- 1920 x 1200
- AA disabled
- 8x AF
- Very High textures
- Game details + particles (and one other I forget) set to high
- Rest to medium

That is CryEngine 3 so if that is runnable with tweaked settings then yes. Still looks way better than any console. If I were in the US I would have saved more than $50 extra on those parts to boot too. Great mid range choices.

Thx and what's your minimum fps?
i'm on the heavy budget and what i realized is that the biggest improve in graphics i've seen is going from low to medium. After medium/high graphics improvement isn't that obvious(at least to me) so i don't mind playing games at high settings instead of ultra.
I'm hoping i would be playing BF4 at 1080p with high settings,4-8xAA,that's enough for me.So for 2 years it should be enough?

Nobody has a crystal ball that'll tell you the exact performance of a given CPU+GPU combo on unreleased games.

Fairly solid 50FPS, level loads down to 30FPS. I doubt the 7870 would crack BF4 @ high with that AA, disable AA, and fiddle down to medium most like.

Just to echo what he has

Crysis 3 All High Details w/FXAA @1080p with a XFX HD 7870 @1200/1450

The tahiti is a little faster than a HD 7870 when OC'd but will most likely have to be upgraded within two years as the 7870 isn't really a high end GPU more of mid-range so it might only get you medium settings with no AA but no one can predict how long it will exactly last as we don't know where games will be within the next 2 years.
