It seems that Nvidia is going the 3DFX route:
They missed a product cycle and the new delayed product (NV30) is bellow expectation in all sectors:performance-price-avaliability.
Propably the new products FX5600 & FX5200 are going to be better.
The specification should be the following:
FX5600 PRO 6pixel units/1texel unit per pipe 400Mhzcore/325Mhz DDRI memory clock 199$
FX5600 6pixel units/1texel unit per pipe 333Mhzcore/275Mhz DDRI memory clock 159$
FX5200 PRO 2pixel units/2texel unit per pipe 400Mhzcore/275Mhz DDRI memory clock 119$
FX5200 2pixel units/2texel unit per pipe 333Mhzcore/225Mhz DDRI memory clock 99$

With those prices they are'nt really better..
ATI still have all of them beat with thei 8xxx-9xxx line

If those are all DX9+ then I think nvidia might have broght itself back into the game a bit more.
