Fx5200 OR geforce3 TI???

A lot I believe. Gforce 3 Ti 500 performs very similar to 4200Ti, which blows 5200. 5200 it's really bad, worse than GF4Mx440 performance wise.

ouch, my roomate has the 5200 FX, and he is using it for Star Wars Galaxies..
I wonder if its gonna be sufficient to handle the graphics torture

where in pakistan r u hatim? I'm sure you could have gotten a gf4 ti 4200 128mb agp 8x for the same price, which is a good upgrade considering you had a gf3 ti 200. If you havent traded yet, dont do it and look around a bit. If you have, (sigh) then get rid of the 5200 while you CAN get a price for it.

im frum karachi....Geforce4 Ti is damn expensive here...Jus found a deal on a used GF3 Ti500 hercules for around 4500 rs (arnd $75). Im selling my fx fer $65 4000rs. Gud deal?

the fx5200 is about as fast as a gf4 mx440. The FX5200 Ultra, however, is more powerful then a gf3 ti500. The problem is, the 5200 ultra is way above the price it is worth, for its price you can get a ti4200 gf4, which is faster.

Which one?

Hercules 3d Prophet Ti500 for $90-100? (1.5 years old) 64MBDDR

or

ti4800 for $150 (2 monh used 8 month warranty) 128 MB

And im selling my fx5200 $70...
Not looking to spend too much so advice me...

Looking to run the following games (how many FPS increase can I expect from the fx5200?)

1. CnC generals
2. CS
3. NFS underground
4. ViceCity
5. BF1942: DC
6 COD
7 And most games that come out until April 04. (ill get new a card from the states after that.)

Will all these games run at optimum speed or should I spend the Xtra $$$ for ti4800SE?

And will the upgrade from the fx5200 be significant? Also which will have aa higher resale value as at Aug 04? Im looking for at least 35+ frames in Generals(my FAV) and 60 in the FPSs..Will I achieve that?

thanx
hatim

Take the 4800SE without doubt. It is the best and it will outperform FX5200 by a lot (maybe 2x its performance, though I'm not sure)
