wow. i dont know where to begin.

step 1. go to school
step 2. learn how to read and write in school.
step 3. learn that there is no such thing as "fast 2d in video cards"
step 4. 9800pro > 5200
step 5(if needed). cut your balls off if you buy the 5200.

**edit** upon further review of the play...

Excuse me for trying to read into the post and be helpful, but what I think he's asking is if he should upgrade his FX5200 to a 9800pro for games like Rise of Nations. To that I say don't bother... the 5200 should be fine.

Anyone wants to give this guy sh!t about his English I'm sure he'll be more than willing to talk to you about it in his native language.

😀 Seconded

The FX5200 is fine for things like RoN ... there's not much point going to a fast card

Oh, and I can't still understand what is so french about my 1st post. Used a bit of SMS slang (U geeks should be knowing it hopefully) and a few typos.

Ok...ill send you a 9800Pro Pen (You get it here). You can instead send me an Nvidia Geforce fx5200 Graphics processing unit.

that was slang???

For sprite games, a FX5200 should be enough. One thing to consider, even though games like rise of nations don't use polygons. The game itself is dependent on the memory bandwith of the video card with moving the animations and textures around. Perhaps a 9600 Pro would be a good compromise. Also it would rock in Half-Life 2 🙂

you want a good 2D card?
get a voodoo 3 😉
cheaper than the FX 5200

i played diablo 2 on the voodoo card, and I really liked it so much compared to the much more powerful GeForce 2 GTS at that time.
