I don't have one but I can guess a few reasons:
1. For business reasons and productivity they need the fastest possible processors. It's a tax write-off in this case so figure a 30% effective deduction in the price. Sure you can overclock but if you don't want to mess with that or possible stability problems the FX chips guarantee the fastest hassle free systems.
2. Everbody thinks different things are important. Some people might not get all the options in their car and get the top dog computer system because for them that is more fun. Just one of life's trade-offs.
3. Yeah, they are rich.
