FX series processor owners..

i am just curious why people buy the fx series of procssors. is it bragging rights? the fact that they are unlocked? you have that much $$$? just curious...

I don't have one but I can guess a few reasons:

1. For business reasons and productivity they need the fastest possible processors. It's a tax write-off in this case so figure a 30% effective deduction in the price. Sure you can overclock but if you don't want to mess with that or possible stability problems the FX chips guarantee the fastest hassle free systems.

2. Everbody thinks different things are important. Some people might not get all the options in their car and get the top dog computer system because for them that is more fun. Just one of life's trade-offs.

3. Yeah, they are rich.

its all about the e-peen... plus the hassel free of still having some of the best posible things is better... some poeple dont want to do aftermarket coolers and all that crap soth ey just get a fx-60, x1900xtx and ****** like that. people are differenct
