You must also consider that the FX can be OCed much further (over 3.5 with morer exotic cooling). For basic gaming, a 3200+ (even at stock) would be fine.

actually it is quite large, (thank you for noticing).
and not rich per se. (just well off atm.)
edit: and i am not gonna be cool...damn.........

😛

with the strain silicon in FX-55 and a vapochill, some people can get their FX-55 up to 3.5GHz (unlock mutiplier comes in handy)

and... also.. O/C is not guaranteed. 3200+ is afterall, tested to run stable at 3200+ speed.

People with 3200+ aims for FX-55 speed, and they think they've got same performance for a lot less. However, they keep forget that FX-55 owner are aiming for FX-59 speed.

Edit: Just saw this FX-55 @ 4GHz post:

If the 3200+ is "that" good, why didn't this guy pick the 3000+/3200+/3500+ for his project.

P.S. don't be so hostile 'ol buddy.

I'm just angry that it won't be available for general sale from what I've heard. Large OEMs only.

Well, enough preasure on ABIT may force them to bring it to mass market; Look on that page and you will see a link for purchase and contact information, fill it out and have them contact you so you can give them a piece of your mind. And then maybe they might sell you one.

This reminds me of 2 stories I will tell,

One-
The dodge stealth was suppost to be a concept and limited production car, but one man liked it so much that he started a petition and got enough signatures for dodge to produce him one. Eventualy he got enough public support that Crysler Corp decided to give the car a go and took it in to full scale production.

Two-
Ad old TV advertisement from 1990 or 1992 for the local GTE yellow pages.
The AD was for BOB's RUG and BOB's RUG DID not advertise in the GTE yellow pages. So the interviewer was asking Bob why he did not want to advertise in the book and bob replied "If I advertised in the GTE Yellow Pages" That's when the camera Panned over to the One Rug in the store and Bob said "See then if I advertised then Lots of people would be interested in bobs rug, I would have lots of customers wantiing to buy Bob's (1) Rug, then there would no longer be a BOB's Rug and I would not have a buisness any more"

Deep Anouncer Voice Says "Buisness that want to do Buisness advertise in the GTE Yellow Pages"
They made a whole series of these comercials and generated lots of laughter. I find them to be relevent and useful from time to time.

IF some one knows of a link where old comercials can be downloaded let me know. This is one I would like to see again as well as the rest of them in the series.

In other words- B*tch at ABIT and Give 'em H-E doubble L.
