Anyone knows of a place where you can get reasonable prices for AMD64 Dual Core FX or Dual Core Optys?

All the places i looked were quite expensive. If someone know a good deal on euther one of those, please, let me know

There's no such thing as a good deal on a new fx...

2MB l2 cache doesn't really matter on AMD chips. Just get a 3800 x2 and overclock it.

how well do x2 3800 overclock?
 
That all depends, Fuzija. Some only get 100 MHz, some can be fired up to 3.0 GHz. It's luck of the draw, really. Don't count on anything.
 
I have been reading that there are stepping E4 and E6 so I guess E6 is better?

Also I think I will go with this one, and save up the rest of the money to buy me self another GPU and put it in SLI with my current card

I guess that would be the best bang for the buck

Any great deals on x2 3800 and ASUS 7600 GT atm? 🙂
 
The guy on that newegg customer review comment is wrong. All E4 and E6 Chips suffer from 2T command rate with 4X512MB dimms
