I was talking latency, yes.

hint: if you're only looking at the bandwidth and not the latency, you are not looking at the proper picture. I'm not saying these are accurate screenshots, but looking at just the bandwidth is one of the worst mistakes you can make.

Remember the old truck full of media analogy. That's a *lot* of bandwidth, but would it work for cache? Bandwidth is not the most important characteristic of processor cache. Or rather, a lesser bandwidth cache can give more of a boost than a higher bandwidth cache if latency is low. It's more complex than just looking at the bandwidth alone.

Just for reference my 2500K @ 4.3GHz, DDR1333 does 6.76 pts. My actual clockspeed wasn't correctly reflected in Cinebench 11.5 either.

shows how far bulldozer is against a 6c intel. Also actual GHz is Off... typically happens when you go higher then stock multi, and windows has a problem reading the correct GHZ.

:\

i was honestly hoping for a 4ghz bulldozer to score at least 7
watching an X6 @ lower clock match a 4ghz bulldozer = epic..

X6 @ 3.5 = 6.25
bulldozer @ 4.02 = 6.38

Now imagine the X6 @ 4.0ghz.. ;)
Long live the X6! no pun.. as i love that cpu to death.

Is that 4.4GHz or 4.1GHz? Is Cinebench showing the correct one? My guess is based on this... :hmm:

4.4ghz was the safe wall on the 980X

the 990X is @ 4.53ghz.

you can see why the 990X ive been using has been on the bench so dayam long...

it would literally take a Sandy Bridge @ 4.8ghz to keep up with her full might.

For 4.53GHz, isn't your Cinebench score of 11.08 a little low (compared to 11.22 for 4.4GHz from this review). :hmm:
