The FX has twice the cache compared to the regular.
It is 159.99 with free shipping vs 149.99 with 7$ shipping... So the fx is 3 dollars cheaper, not more expensive.
Huh? they are both AM2 chips running DDR2?And you get a nice 800mhz ram speed with it instead of having it reduced.

I have never known the difference between FX and regular chips, especially since some regular Athlons have the same amount of cache. so what is the difference?

oh, i guess you are right. It is the same cache.
So it seems the only benefit is the unlocked multiplier
The downside is, that it is F2 stepping not F3 like the 6000+, so it will probably overclock worse. (and isn't gaurenteed 3.0ghz like the 6000 is).

So how high is the multiplier when unlocked? Is it totally unlocked so you can go as high as you want? That would be nice.
