FX 5600 Ultra vs. Ti4600

Which card in your opinion is better? I know both have their advantages and disadvantages. Also, Chaintech has a Ti4600 that seems to be fairly inexpensive. Does anyone own a Chaintech? Good or bad choice?

Thanks

A ti4600 would be faster than the original 5600ultra. But, a fx5600 ultra rev 2 would be fastest, though one of those will probably cost you a bit more than a ti4600.

Checkout toms review. The 4600 isnt really close to the 5600 Ultra. It is however faster than the 5600 non-ultra.

Personally I am waiting on the 5700 🙂

I hate Ultra mark, it pisses me off so much... I woulnt mind a sub $250 5700 Ultra though assuming its better than the 9700.

Probably the 5600U, provided it's a 400/400MHz "version two." The article above has shortcuts to the benchmarks on the right-hand side. Note the 5600U they use is 350/350, so the v2 should be 15% faster. Of course, a 5800 is a better card, period--essentially the same thing (chip featureset and core/memory speed) but with twice the fillrate--and you can find them for $230.

I'd take a $210 9700 or $245 9800 over either, though,
