FX 5500 vid card prob

I recently installed a 5500 AGP card into my system, but some things are questionable. I uninstalled the ATI drivers and used driver cleaner. I then installed the 66.92 drivers. I benchmaked 3DMark 2001 just fine, and got just about the right numbers for this card (7000+). When i benchmark 2003, the video card crashes on the second test and the system reboots. In call of duty there is some shimmering effects on the characters every once in a while. And in my nview display properties, it says its on the bus PCI x0, not AGP 8x.

Someone said it might be something to do with accidentally removing the NVidia AGP to PCI bus thing that should be in my device manager. Anyone with suggestions? If all else fails i'll back up all my stuff and reinstall windows xp.
