FX-55, OEM vs. Retail. Which is better?

Which is better? Are they both clock un-locked? Why is the OEM more expensive?

as reported on newegg, OEM is clawhammer core. Retail is sledgehammer core.
So, again, which is the better CPU?

OEM should be less because the OEM version just comes with the processor, nothing else. No warranty, nothing.

well the strange thing is I've seen the FX-55 being sold cheaper than the OEM. OEM chips usually carry a 30 day warranty at best.

thats what I want to figure out is why the oem is more $$ that the retail FX-55. How can that be? I want to buy the retail, but first, I want to know why the oem cost more money. I'm baffled.

oems are supposed to be cheaper. newegg often messes up on their pricings. oem just means its straight from manufacturer in plastic wrap. retail comes in a box with a stock hsf. other then that, both cpu's are the same.
