Reminds me of the thread about the guy who honeymooned in the Dominican Republic and they both got deathly ill from something they ate and spent thousands on horrific hospital care. I think he said the same thing.....it was cheap.

You are going to a foreign country. You obey their rules, respect their political system, their leaders and their way of life. It is THEIR country. How can this be misunderstood?

I think you meant to post that on another thread, unless you're implying that it's legal for airport screeners to remove foreigner's possessions from their baggage.

I capitulate. I'm sure that this sort of thing would happen in any third world country. It's not just that I hate communists... I guess I hate people from poor countries.

Damn man feel bad for you but the thing is ppl resort to stealing from foreigners to get stuff they can't have on the island.I know cause I lived in Cuba for 15 years before coming to the states.Not all ppl but alot do it's easier to steal oakleys from some Italian on the beach then ever having a chance to own one in Cuba.
