I use MSN primarily. I installed Gaim which is pretty nice so I do sign into my AIM and ICQ accounts now.

I haven't received any mail from my hotmail account that has been sent recently.

I've personaly been using gaim for quite some time since way back in the day. I love having all the messenger protocols in one client and for some reason I never liked the feel of trillian so ive stuck with gaim. btw gaim logs conversations too
