Nah, it could be fine. I've done the freezer trick multiple times on the same drive. As long as you put it in a plastic bag and you were careful to keep moisture off it... the enclosure may have helped with that (or it may have hurt). Although if you would calm down and THINK you would have realized that the freezer trick wouldn't work if the enclosure is apparantly broken.

I did think. There was a possibility it was the drive itself, and not the enclosure. On top of that, I had no idea that the freezer trick could render a HD useless permanently afterwarsd.

Just the moisture, that's what I said to put it in a ziploc bag.

I did put it in a Ziploc bag that was sealed, but the enclosure did have moisture when I took it out 45 minutes later.

Yeah good luck with that. Did you keep any of the pictures on the flash memory? 500 pictures isn't a lot, you could fit most of those on a 1 GB card.

It's a Nikon D70, and everything is in RAW, so it's like 6MB per picture. I had a GB card, so thats like 180 pictures per 1GB. I have ~150 on the camera which are safe, but the rest were on that drive .
