With all of the continental planes in and out of IAH I'm sure there is SOME flight you can get on. Just bitch and moan at one of the bagillion customer service desks until they give in.

If you're staying in the airport, make sure there are vending machines before all the shops close. United fvckers stuck me in Dulles at 11:30PM with a 7am flight and no vending machines. Won't ever fly United again.

i read somewhere that they had to put you on the first available aircraft. even if it is with a different airline. i know they CAN do it, because they did it for a once. but i think i remember reading that they MUST do it. they just dont like to.

anyone else know anything about it?

Plane change so there is a SLIGHT chance I may actually get home tonight. Coming home from Cancun they delayed our baggage, so we missed the last flight last monday and they trapped us in Houston. Then, I had to fly out hte next day to OKC, but that was on American, so of course it was flawless. Of course since Continental was the return carrier they decide to fvck with me again.

This is after a 45 minute delay unloading at IAH on the first leg of the Cancun trip, so we thought we missed our flight there. Well, we RAN and got to the plane and boarded, and then they delay it for 3 hours and don't let us off.

I wouldn't be bitching so much if these were economy tickets, but it was First Class everytime and all Continental offered me for compensation (other than the Hotel Room and a meal voucher) was a 125 flight voucher. How stellar.

I don't want to be flying Continental, but I can't help it that Delta and others didn't have the flight times or first class available for my dates and times. Obviously I'm miffed at them, so don't you think I'm not going to be fllying them anymore? Use your brain.

Flying to BC and back end of this month, on the way back I have a 6 hour stopover in NEWARK. Houston would be nice, but NEWARK. I can already taste the pollution.

Stop whining

Righhhhhhhhhhtttttttttttttt. It is silly to expect an airline not to strand you every freakin' chance they get.

You must work for an airline, because otherwise how could you make such a moronic comment? They are a business, it doesn't matter if they do it on purpose. Hey bud, I work in an industry in which we are just as susceptible to weather or maintenance issues as are airlines, but it doesn't mean a customer doesn't have a right to gripe.

I PAID for my ticket and was offered a service. If they can't provide that it isn't whining it is demanding that they fix it.

How old are you, 12?

I spent seven hours in BWI last week. :(

I apologize, BWI is a terrible place.

It's a lot easier to get around in than Dulles. Still, I'd rather not be stranded in ANY airport, and BWI doesn't have much to do inside.

flying sucks. Wait times and delays are the worst... sat idle in the plane for an hour while on the runway because of congestion last week. And last night when we got back, there was a 20-30 minute delay after we landed because they changed the gate on us. And then claiming your bags... another 20+ minutes. Yeah it beats driving, but sometimes the aggravation makes up for it.

IAH (Houston) is the home hub of Continental.

^ My useless post of the day.

I was stuck in O'Hare for about ten hours on Thanksgiving day last year.

After that, I learned to ALWAYS carry my cell phone charger with me on the plane. I spent most of that ten hours on a pay phone with friends and my girlfriend (after asking her to buy a calling card for me). Talking on a pay phone for hours and hours is uncomfortable.

Did the same thing to me but from 9pm to 3:30am. Luckily I stopped at a newstand before it closed and got stuff to munch on. Went over to the terminal with the power plugs by all the seats, hooked up the laptop, got on the internet with the cell phone and kept myself occupied until they finally got the plane in. I'm fairly sure it was United who did nothing for us, just made us wait.

A few years ago Northwest made me miss my connection in Detroit because they had the plane too heavy. Went to the desk and complained. They gave me a coupon for money off my next flight and meal passes.

2 years ago they cancelled our flight due to mechanical problems, Northwest put us up in a hotel for the night.

This is why Northwest will always get picked even if they're $50 more.
