I hate movie critics. Why do they think that they have the right to pass judgement on any movie?

I thought the movie was great. It was just a like a comic book. It's kind of hard to expect more considering that the entire story came from a comic book, and was a lot cornier than what this movie turned out to be. for F4!

Thats probably because they are all adults.

My 3 kids loved it. that's enough for me. it was 2 hours of entertainment for them.

I rate recent super hero movies like this....

Batman Begins
Spiderman
Xmen

Really... I didn't like xmen that much at all but at least it was 100 times better then this POS they put on the screen this weekend and called a super hero movie.

Bruckheim and Bay have "produced" some "decent" movies, some sucky ones, and a few good ones. However, why the hell are you talking about them when they didn't do crap for F4? They didn't produce it.

As far as producers go.. all they do is lay down the money so OTHER people can make the movie and that's basically it. They usually don't do much as they let the director's direct, and the actors act. That simple. They just float the cash to get it all done and then collect or lose out when it comes to people actually paying to watch it.

PS, I didn't see it, cause every time I saw the previews with the THING, he looked like the michelin man that just got a swirlie in a toilet after someone through up a bag of carrots into it.

Denzel Washington was in Enemy of the State? I thought that was Will Smith.

No it didn't. :p

Spiderman 1 and 2 were both great.

I haven't seen F4 yet though, I was debating whether to see F4 this weekend or see Batman Begins again at the Imax . . .

saw it last night...wasn't bad per se, but wasn't great- no really good one liners (or when good delivery/directing was off)

I agree with the poster that most of the movies by these guys do suck, and the poster that said there was no real 'magic' between the villain and the hero

script was just bad, casting was actually ok

batman begins was really good (I don't like any of the previous movies)
spiderman- captured the old Peter Parker from before all the Venom/Carnage stuff

Nicolas cage movies should be avoided with the exception of Raising Arizona :)

F4 was pretty empty plot-wise but certainly was fun and entertaining. Not for everyone, but enough for a lot. People clapped at the end during my showing (I was not one of them, though again - I didn't think it was bad).

Critics are there to help prevent me from wasting time & money on crapfests such as Fantastic 4. Job well done.

what if you actually had friends who weren't so close-minded and went to see for themselves, then told you it was good... would you see it then ?

I liked the movie. WTF were people expecting from this movie, Braveheart? It was just a light, fun movie. But people that hated this movie, will then go on to rave about a movie like Fight Club. Now THAT was a piece of sh!t movie.

Also, Batman Begins  Now that was a boring as hell movie.

The problem I have with it, is that the entire story did not come from the Fantastic Four
comic book. So it is possible to expect more from it.

Actually, the one review I had read prior to coming to this thread was favorable.
It said that F4 was basically a good family-friendly summer action movie. But, if
you are a fan of the original characters or storyline, then you would probably find
some elements of the movie dissapointing.

I have not read any F4 stories in years, but I remember them well enough to know
I would have some strong enough disagreements with how this movie plays out to
not want to see it in the theaters.

I'm sure its a good movie though, because it can't be worse than the original
Fantastic Four movie.
