sigh... I would have answered it, been annoyed, told him I didn't want any of what he was selling, and gone about my day.

This is why we keep guns in the house, so we are not afraid of random people banging on the door. If you would have had one you could have felt much easier when finding out what he wanted. I had to chase a guy from our house one Christmas season. The GF opened the door at 9 PM one night and a Black guy put his foot in the door and wouln't go away even after she told him too.....one yell and I was on the way down the stairs cocking the pistol....and he was running down the lawn. Never saw him again.

though i'd try to find out what he is there about, without opening the door of course
