Wow they killed another rock station? They killed KSJO out here and that station was around for almost 40 years...and of course, was replaced by a spanish station.

You gotta look at it from a business point of view man. Why bother funding something that isn't doing well?

Well, in the case of KSJO, that station was the only real rock station in the southern Bay Area. There's a reason why they were around for almost 40 years. Also, the DJ's were respected and well known all over the Bay Area. Shutting it down doesn't make sense to me.

For a second, I was going to say repost and thought you were talking about KSJO.

Then I realized that Clear Channel is ruining radio nation-wide.

Hey man.... there isn't one good philadelphia radio station....

we have the top 40 and 70's/90's pop from delaware (WSTW/WJBR) an "alternative rock station" that only plays crap like good charolotte (Y100).... two "hip hop" stations that play everything at 110% speed and run all commercials (Q102, Power99)... both loaded with so ebonic-ified dj language you're ready to be sick... a few oldies (pre-60's stations)... and our good old Rock and classic rock stations (WYSP and WMMR) both of which only have their forgivable moments once in a blue moon.....

be happy you at least had a descent station at one point.... I'm not sure which were/are clearchannel... but they all suck....

I usually just use my cd's..... at least then I can just hit the skip button....

MMR is the only one I can tolerate, that and WOGL (oldies).

They pulled the same sh!t here in dallas. 97.1 KEGL was the ONLY Rock station and earlier in March (I think) they pulled the plug and replaced it with some sooth 80s bullsh!t.

I refuse the listen to the radio now as almost ALL stations here in DFW are owned by Clear Channel. Thank god for a 6disc changer.

They did the same thing here in Denver. there were two great rock stations, one was 97 The Peak and had Nina Blackwood on in the afternoons. she had an awesome lineup. now its nothing but mexican circus music. :|
