Noticed that my rear right suspension was making a nasty clicking noise whenever I turned right. After I lifted the car I saw that the wheel was able to wiggle back and forth with easy.
I traced the problem back to a loose bolt that holds the toe adjustment control bar to the subframe. I tried to tighten and loosen the bolt and it would just spin freely. There is a captured nut INSIDE the subframe that is inaccessible without cutting, and it was spinning freely.

So, Surgery.

I dropped the subframe and cut a hole with an attachment on my drill.

A couple of tacks and some primer paint.

Saved the plug and just seam welded it back in place.

When releasing the clutch pedal in first, and only in first, I get a very loud squeal as the clutch engages. I dont hear it in any other gear, or when pressing the clutch pedal out of gear. It also does not do it when I go into reverse.

I was thinking it might be the throwout bearing but wouldnt it be a consistent squeal throughout all gears, and be heard releasing the pedal when not in gear?

Fixed a minor clutch issue, and installed new shift linkage bearings.
Shes ready to go.

Put 'er up for sale today. See what happens. I dont think there are any Gen4 Mr2's anywhere around this area, so it may go quickly!

I like driving this car in the summer with the T-tops, but the MK1.5 just has more of a silly/fun factor.

Car sold. Got nearly what I was asking for.
A summer of fun and a little profit in the end. I think thats a good deal!

BUT I miss the reliability of that Gen4. Turn key and go.
So I bought one for the MK1.5! That thread may get an update soon.
