I jsut bought myself a radeon 9000 64mg to replace my old voodoo3..
the problem is that every once in a while my display gets... dithered.. it's hard to describe excpet to say that the screen becomes unreadable.. i tried updating drivers, i tried installing XP and I'm still having the same problem.. after doing some researched I decided to try flashing the BIOS. That didn't help, although I did notice it saying that other motherboards on a simalur chipset (mine's KT266 and the other was a kt266a) saying suggesting that there were problems with ATI cards. but nothing for my particular board.
so...
1) perhaps a stupid question.. would it be safe to flash it with one of the fixes for the kt233a that's supposed to fix the problem?
2) is it the bios, i shoudl also mention that the problems ocasionally start before windows starts to boot?
3) finally, should I just get a new card?
