Hi guys..
Finally got the Pro 2 set up ...after having to wait for a PS from Antec. I am wanting to do a bit of OC'ing, but to play it safe, I want to use the Fuzzy Logic to start ...but it is not installing right or something. It is like the screen that comes up is partially shrunk, and blending into the desktop. Anyone else had this prob?
I did find one Win98 fix on the CD, and used that, but so far nothing else. I have uninstalled Fuzzy Logic at this time, and just coasting at 650. Any ideas? Seems like I saw a site that had all the setu stuff for this board, too. That would be great.

MSI Pro2
Duron 650 (unlocked)
128 Mg. pc100

Thanks.

Hey Neos,

What version of Fuzzy Logic? I have a Pro and I upgraded to FL 3 from the msi.tw site. It had strange anomilies like what you mentioned. I uninstalled it and went back to Fuzzy logic 2 (which works the same) and it works fine.

PS. All fuzzy logic is doing is moving the front side bus one mhz at a time until it crashes. then when you reboot, it moves it back 2 mhz and calls it stable. You can do the same thing in bios by going to freq/volt option and changing the fsb one click at a time!

Thanks Jim..
Where did you find it? I have looked high and low on the MSI site, and have yet to find the II. The III is on the CD, and it seems to work, but only partially.
Thanks again

anyway, if you have a k7t pro2 it's better to concentrate on oc:ing with the multipliers instead of the fsb.

I agree on the multipliers. Seems like the AMD cpus don't like too much fsb.

oh and here's a link to dl fuzzy logic2.
It also says on that page that fuzzy logic3 and pc alert 3 can't be running at the same time

Edit: Dasm it that link didn't work :( i have updated the link, but you'll have to click on "software" to get to the page

I think Athlons can manage high busspeeds fine, the chipset is another story however.

I got my FL2 on cd with the Pro board; but they have a copy on the www.msicomputer.com site. Yes, you can't run both(PC alart and FL) at the same time because they are the same product essentually. Msi is trying to combine them into one product....but they are only partially through the code. In FL4 it will all(PCalart, FL, Softcooler) be integrated into one software package.

Again, Don't expect too much sucess with OC'ing the FSB. KT133 in general have trouble over 110 and this Pro I have won't do over 105 and remain stable.

Talk to ya later.

Neos, since you have a 650 ,try 7x 100 & see if you can get it up to 700mhz if so try 750 & work your way up.

Thanks..
I have it at 750 now ...without as much as a burp, with no voltage change. Now if I can just get the sound to work.
Oh, for right now I have just given up on the Fuzzy logic II or III. I loaded the II and it shows the same anomalies.

Neos ,if you mean onboard sound make sure it`s enabled in BIOS,then install the sound drivers which are on the MSI cd that came with the board.

Hey guys, I am about to buy my self a new board and chip (900 T-Bird) and I am going to buy a K7T-Pro2 but I was just wondering if you know if it supports keyboard power on (a feature I am kinda addicted to). I can't find anything that says it does, but I can't find anything that says it doesn't, just wondering since you have it, if you know if it does. Thanks
