That seem about right? i cant push it anymore on the video card. was running hot dl'ed Rivatuner increased fan speed to 95% and its very cold now. I cant push it because coolbits is not letting me. So is that about right? If i went sli GTX's would my CPU bottleneck the cards? thanks for any adivce you give.

Yeah that looks pretty good. I am sure you can overclock 3700+ to a bit more than 2.4ghz. I would have expected about 8700-8800 with that great overclock. If you went with SLI, your cpu wouldnt hold you too much since most current games are gpu limited (like FEAR, COD2, etc). However, I would highly advise against spending $400+ on a 2nd 7800GTX when very powerful refresh cards are around the corner and Q3 will see new generation. You'd be better off selling 7800GTX and upgrading it to G71/R580 or later to R500/G80 imo.

That is a sweet overclock on the 7800GT, and at 45 full load... Is that stock cooling?

That score seems a little low. I can eat that for breakfast at 480/1320, with my 3200+ @ 2.6.
It's really beating me, how are you getting those temps, and how is coolbits letting you overclock so high? I have to get my card sub 31C to get over 500 core.

Dont use coolbits. Coolbits is a PITA. Use rivatuner.

my 7800GT (not GTX) just murders that score @ 550/1389mhz...kinda strange...

If you have a spare or new HDD, you can just take an image of everthing on your current HDD and move it to another drive. That way if your HDD dies suddenly, you don't lose anything, just switch to the new one.
