Apart from my graphics card, my system is a generation or two behind so I am going to be building a new Nehalem-based computer with Vista 64.
In past reading I recall someone saying that from the 3800 series onwards users could pair dissimilar cards together for a performance benefit. If this is true, and it works in a truly beneficial manner (IE the faster card doesn't gimp itself to meet the slower) then I really want to do this in my new system.
1. I could pair a 4870x2 with my old 3870?
2. Any links?
3. Would this only happen on an AMD chipset? If so, worthless. I have never bought an Intel chip, but Nehalem has changed my mind.
