i have a dell e510 pc and this xmas is coming up and i was thinking which upgrades i should make.

Upgrading the CPU won't return much (if any) bang for the buck. A gig of RAM is fine for most games, so doubling the RAM isn't worth it for this box, either. Naturally you can't replace the PSU, so a better video card is out...it would suck more power than you have available.

If this box has onboard audio, and you have it hooked to a decent sound system or use good headphones, you might consider a Soundblaster. Otherwise, a second hard drive is really your only option that makes fiscal sense at this time.
