"Future proof" P4 motherboard?

Looking to buy a motherboard to use with a P4 670 (3.8 GHz) CPU that I already have. Would like to buy one that I can switch out the CPU to a Conroe later on. SLI capable would be nice very but isn't absolutely necessary. Price isn't a factor.

I already have almost everything else: 2 X 1 GB DDR2 RAM, 2 X 74 GB Raptors, 7800 GTX, 600 watt Enermax PSU........

Good luck, there is no current motherboard that is 100% guranteed to work with conroe, and unless Nvidia chipsets support it right off the bat, no SLI support either. Supposedly the newest revisions of 975x chipset motherboards will support it, however, most of the time you won't know what revision board you got till after you already have it.

I forget where I read it the other day, but now they are saying none of the boards on the market now will be fully compatible with Conroe and a new board will most likely have to be purchased.

That's about the way my luck usually runs........ Thanks for the info guys.

What's the best motherboard available now that I can use with the components I currently have?
