Well, I like most people have been paying attention to the most recent releases from both nvidia and ati and was wondering... What are we going to see over say the next 6 months... Any new/better products from either? I'm thining about upgrading sometime before the end of the year and am wondering what's on the horizion now that the 9800pro and the fx5900 are out....

Thanks.

I'm looking forward to a brand new S3/968-2 3D. Now THAT would rock your world baby!

We need products that can run today's games at 1600x1200 with FSAA and AF at 60+fps minimal (not average fps). I think that we may never have this though because the games keep getting more detailed and need better and better hardware to keep up. For a while prior to fsaa and af, 1600x1200 at 60fps minimal was getting closer to a reality, but with fsaa and af it's not so.

I'll throw in a bone, but I'm actually looking forward to seeing if S3 can return to the desktop graphics market with DeltaChrome. Samples should be out in a few months.

Also, PVR5 and Xabre2 should be real parts coming soon.

I wonder what happened to Trident?

honestly, playing games at 1024x768 without AA or ANISO is still pretty sweet for me...
