I am planning on buying this mobo @ Newegg in the next couple of days. I was just about to order but when I was shopping for RAM I checked customer reviews and for many brands ram does not work for this mobo. Now I'm a little worried about the board. Looked at Newegg customer reviews... Crucial, Kingston, XMS .. seems that many have trouble with ram with this board. So this brings me to my questions;

What brand should I buy?

What size? (I want 512 for now) Should I go with 1 stick of 512 or 2 x 256? (BTW can anyone quickly explain how that dual ram works?)

I would really appreciate if you guys can help me pick out the right/compatible ram. Any help is appreciated.

You might try the Asus website for approved RAM. There has been some discussion about PC2100 Crucial here.

That's an easy question. If you are never going to increase ram then get 2 x 256.
If you are going to increase your ram in the foreseeable future get 1 512 now.

The nforce2 chipset gives you a performance boost if you run 2 sticks.
