Futurama easter egg (sorta)

Don't know if anyone ever noticed this. For those of you who've seen Futurama alot. Remember when Fry defeted the giant brains because he had no delta brain wave. Then they reused that in an episode later where they explained that he had no delta brain wave because he was his own grandfather. Now here's the easter egg part. In that second episode I mentioned, it is revealed that Nibbler caused Fry to fall into the cryo chamber. This episode was sometime in season 3 I believe. Now I'm watching season 1 on DVD, and I noticed something. Right as Fry falls over into the cryo chamber, you can see the shadow of Nibbler. Is it me or is it awesome that they put something in the first episode that they didn't use again until the 3rd season. That's all, just thought that was a funny thing to notice.

That's pretty cool. Or they could be continuity hounds, and added it into the dvd release.

last time I tried to screen capture a dvd movie it wouldn't work, I don't know why.

I listened to the commentary track on the first episode and they do mention a "secret" about that scene, so you are probably right. I just rented it though so I can't look again. D'oh!

Not sure of the reason, but Windows can't handle doing screen caps on DVDs. You need software that can do it, otherwise you just get a black box where the DVD image was. Try Hypersnap-DX, that should allow you to grab DVD caps. I'd like to see the screen caps from this, it's hard to believe that there's a Nibbler shadow in E1, likely it was added later when they decided to do the other episode that expanded the storyline.

The pilot is on Cartoon Network tonight. They just showed the part where Fry gets frozen and there was a shadow of Nibbler.
