After using other boards I find this site rather lacking in basic features, like trying to type something in bold. Other sites have a cool feature where the tags can be place by just clicking the icon and then closed just by pushing the icon agian. With Fusetalk it always pops up and is limited in how many characters will fit.

Neowin.net uses Invision Power Board, I love the extra features and easy click smilies, maybe one day AnandTech will catchup.

If you're really concerned with how long it takes you to bold some text, learn to type it yourself (much faster than reaching for the mouse anyways) or get one of those bb code generation plugins for firefox.

Or learn to type "[ b ]" and "[ / b ]" ... it's so difficult ...

The above bolded text and emoticon posted without the use of dropdown menus.

Despite years of excessive drinking, even I can remember most of the important fusetalk codes without a menu or buttons. IIRC, there are even buttons on the post window that can be quite helpful. Give it a bit of time, you'll start remembering them in no time.
