Fusetalk has spoiled me for other message boards

i never quite realized how much fusetalk rocks until I go to non-fusetalk boards. Eww, so ugly, with cumbersome interfaces to boot. And I can't stand message boards that have those obnoxious smilies or no image-size limits on signatures too. I always come back to ATOT, if not for the people, but because Zuni rocks 🙂

Three cheers for Zuni! :beer::beer::beer:

I wish Fusetalk Inc. made a scaled down version of the forum software that was cheaper than what they charge now. That would own and hopefully everyone would catch on with Fusetalk!

I want a copy for the gotwoot.net forums, but no way in hell i'm paying what they are asking for. 😛

Yeah that's why I said too bad they don't have like a "basic" edition. I guess you'd have to take some things out, I wouldn't know how much but that would be a good thing 🙂

Well, at least Zuni realizes that you can't sell a product that you are also giving away, like RedHat and Mandrake do.

I used to like Fusetalk the best, but phpbb is good for letting you insert pictures and stuff. And over at bicycling.com, there is sort of a one-off by Zoltron that is pretty good because it lets you insert replies anywhere within the thread and gives you a tree view. vBulletin is serviceable. Does anyone know of a forum using Snitz or Spitz or something like that? It let you see a person's last few posts which was a nice feature. A low-budget site I frequent had to convert from that to phpbb because the Active Server pages weren't running too well on their server.

I wonder if the people on the Fusetalk website are actual employess or just from some clip-art collection??

BTW, Fusetalk rocks. vBulletin isn't bad either.

can someone link to message boards and state that this one uses fusetalk, this one uses zuni etc... cuz I have no idea what the differences are.

Ok on the site it says that the basic only allows one forum. Is that like on At Forums or is it like just off topic.
