Are they going to bring back the PM Notify? I haven't seen or heard about that for quite some time now. Is it still available?

Bring back? What do you mean? If you actually click the search button, you can answer that yourself.

The new version of FuseTalk that they have out now looks sweet, I hope that Anandtech makes the transition over to the newer version in the future.

Let's see.. 135,658 users.. currently about 750 logged on... maybe they could set up a donation for upgrading. I wouldn't mind donating $1 if it meant getting Fusetalk 3.0 (in ALL its glory) on here.

Agree.

why would you donate money? 😕 the coder runs these forums.

You mean you wouldn't be willing to pay $1 or less to have the latest forums software installed in a forum that you frequent?
I surely would. Maybe it would motivate them to actually do it... especially if doing it meant allowing *ALL* of the features. Otherwise, I feel it will never happen. I feel that even if they were to upgrade to 3.0, they would disable many of the new features. Why, I really don't understand. I guess it's the same reason why programming still hasn't slipt off from software.
I really wish the admins of AT, especially Anand himself, would care a little more about the forums, instead of ignoring them like they do. I mean, how often does he even visit the forums??

AT Forums are a sort of testbed for FuseTalk, and we do not have all the features turned on because of the size of these forums (abuse, overuse, slowdowns etc). Donating money would do nothing at all.

You have no idea.

Ok we have >100,000 memberes are present. These forums are ENORMOUS! Im sure they care very much about the forums. What gave you the impression that they dont?

Also, Anand used to come and post here all the time. But you have to remember, now he is married, the site is MUCH MUCH larger, he has meetings, personal life... Give them a break.

We don't have over 100,000 members at present. We have over 100,000 that have signed up. How many do you think are ever on at a given time? Maybe five hundred, but I think that's pretty high.

Hi folks, we don't have any plans on upgrading right now as the .NET version has yet to be released. We don't run ColdFusion anymore...

Subscriptions - we changed the subscription system so that you when someone replies to a topic that you are subscribed to, you receive an e-mail but won't receive anymore emails until you visit the thread. This reduces the amount of e-mail traffic sent out to users and gets users back to your forum.
This would be nice. I've seen other forums in the past that did this and always wished AT did.
