Fury X HDMI Bandwidth

I recently purchased a 4k LG OLED television and hooked up my gaming PC with a Fury X via HDMI. I have no issues achieving 60fps when gaming in 1080p but once I up the resolution to 1440p or 4k, I seem to be limited to 30fps no matter the settings I change.

Is this due to the Fury X not having HDMI 2.0?

Get one of the adapters for DP -> HDMI 2 something like https://www.amazon.com/Club3D-Displayport-1-2-HDMI-CAC-1070/dp/B017BQ8I54

Or use displayport if your TV supports it.

That's the adapter I use for when I connect the PC to my 4k TV.
