Furry lobster?

Text

PARIS, France (AP) -- Divers have discovered a new crustacean in the South Pacific that resembles a lobster and is covered with what looks like silky, blond fur, French researchers said Tuesday.

Scientists said the animal, which they named Kiwa hirsuta, was so distinct from other species that they created a new family and genus for it.

😵

That looks like one of those microbial things that you see under a microscope... only supersized! Maybe this is the result of radiation gone wrong.

Wonder how it evolved that way. Maybe feeling its way through small cracks and such, like a cat's whiskers?

Ridding itself of parasites? But wouldn't the shell already do that?
