so in january, my then fiance and i placed an order for a bedroom set that included a bed frame, headboard, dresser, chest, mirror, and 2 nightstands.

we got married in march (find the thread if you haven't seen it and care :p) and still hadn't had the damn furniture.

finally, after the wedding, we got the dresser and chest, but we were still sleeping on mattresses on the floor....

today, they decided to bring everything, but little did we know that THEY BROUGHT THE WRONG BED FRAME... our mattresses do not fit on a queen sized bed and that's why we asked for a king!!!! and they gave us the wrong headboard. ugh, this totally sucks. we already waited 3 months, and i guess it's back to waiting another 3....

i am mad. :|

Sounds like when I bought my sofas. If your store is like the one I used, the shop and warehouse use different systems and can't get anything right. Expect a lot of headaches.

Return the crap and get your money back and go somewhere that gives 2 sh1ts. Or keep it and get them to give you a discount for their fckup.

That sucks. When I was married, I ordered a new bedroom set as a wedding gift for my wife. We didn't get the mattress for 2 months after I was supposed to get delivery, which means that we slept on the floor for the first 1.5 months of our marriage. :|

what store?
it's a no-name store in downtown manhattan.
I was just gonna say that I bought from local stores when I got my couch and bedroom set, and the delivery was like next day... I guess it didn't work out as well for you.

The delivery of the bedroom set was half price ($20) because I live only about a mile from the store and the guy said he'd give me a deal if I helped the guy carry the furniture into the place so he didn't have to send two guys.

The two goof-balls that were sent by the couch store delivered on-time, but they rammed my couch into the stucco wall outside. I was then handed a clipboard to sign, and it had a wad of $10 bills stuffed under the clip. Subtle.

well, this is a warehouse type store. they get very good offers on furniture that you select (usually from a catalog) and then contact the factory to have it shipped. that is what takes so long. since the factory is supposedly in canada, it's an even longer delay.

i'm happy with the furniture that i have so far (coincidentally, i saw something from the same manufacturer, shermag, for my dining room at macy's and bought from there -- at a higher cost -- and then bought the rest of the stuff cheaper from the no-name store), but it's REALLY annoying to have to wait, and even more annoying to have your hopes shattered when you find out that what you ordered isn't what was delivered.
