Furnace problems, any ideas?

I have a 5 y.o furnace unit. Forced air Tappan brand.

I hear the fan that clears the heat exchanger, then the burner lights for about 2 seconds. It then kicks off, the blower then blows cold air. About a min or two later burner lights again and then shuts off.

I think it may still be under some type of warrantee but would like to have some idea what may be causing this. Thanks

probably a limit switch. Open the cover for the blower motor. There is usually a circuit board down there. See if there are any blinking lights on it.

I had a similar problem with a furnace once. Had to replace a whole circuit board.

Edit: I'd try the suggestions in weadjust's post. They make a lot of sense.
