My friend called kmart to ask if they were going to have wii in and they hung up on him. I guess they took the word wii the wrong way.

No, it's an example of incompetent sales associates at KMart. If you work in a specific department (electronics, automotive, etc.) of a retail store you should be aware of the new trends in this area. If the KMart he called did indeed have a Wii, then they just lost a customer. 😉

From a marketing standpoint its really smart. As cool as "Revolution" was, Wii is Nintendo's own creation. It'll catch on - if it hasn't already.
 
I see in the near future (2years) at all Flea Markets.......... Wii for sale. Take this piss off my hands....... $20 dollah buy fo you!

I'll say again....... The controller will be it's downfall. They may even drop it and provide a normal controller for it.

Well according to the CoD2 reviews I have read, it takes a few minutes to adjust to the thing and after that it feels quite natural. Certainly makes a nice change to the way we play games, and if any genre needs shaking up it's the FPS genre.

I won't be buying any gaming consoles this year or anytime in the near future.
The only entertainment device I'll be buying is an HD-DVD player late next year, and that's it.
I have an Xbox collecting dust with about 15 games that I never play. I'm just stating why the WHEEEE controller will be its downfall. I have a pc for games I like to play.
