Funny thing happened at work today

So one of the artists ordered a new Dell. ~$2000 machine. Then he had it shipped to work.

It never came.

So today he called Dell up to see what the deal was and they said it was delivered last Friday. Turns out that the mail room had no idea who it was for and didn't recognize the name on the box so they sent it over to IS. Right now it is being used in the corporate office. It's going to take over a week to get it back.

Needless to say the guy was pissed, but everyone else got a good laugh out of it.

thats pretty funny. something like that happened to me once. I had a very expensive jacket delivered to my office. The shipping tards opened my package because they couldn't tell what was in it. They thought it was another sample for the fashion crew. 1 week or so later I see it laying in the back photography studio like it was gonna be shot for the fashion catalog. Pretty annoying. I had my office pay for dry cleaning the jacket (suede).

How that could happen is beyond me. You wipe with sandpaper or something? Guess that would tend to help cut down on the dingleberry problem. 😀
