Funny story... law enforcement officers use google now.

Dunno how true it is but apparently my friend heard it from someone at work. These two recent college grads were driving in downtown Miami in a Ferrari 360 Modena while intoxicated and they got pulled over. Apparently their fathers are in the oil business and have a lot of political power in Texas, so these two don't get worried at all. When the cop approaches them and ask the driver for his license, he hands it to the officer but at the same time says "Do you know who I am?". So the officer goes back to his car, calls his son and asks him to GOOGLE the guy's name. Apparently there were some results but nothing direct to this guy. So he goes back to them and says "I googled you and found out you are nothing." LOL. I think the officer is my friend's coworker's uncle or something. Anyways, this raises the question of whether the cop would have done anything special if the kid really was somebody?

This story has the aura of made up and badly edited via a drunken game of telephone written all over it.

Wow... an anectdote via your "friend's coworker's uncle or something." Well, it's at least as reliable as Fox News.

They do use MySpace to catch retarded criminals though.
