After I gave PCH cables a negative rating [the review is actually set as 'Good' and not 'Negative']for charging too much for shipping, someone from PCH wrote back to me asking why. I replied that they charged $4.00 to charge a $2.00 item. (I thought they should charge standard postage which would have been more like $1.50. IT would make more sense for a $2.00 item.) When I did this PCH wrote back this SCATHING letter justifying their charge. If youd like to read it, here it is: We are a business. Yes, anyone can send a simple item in the mail. However, we do not offer postage stamps with no tracking, as a shipping option. If we did, then what the would mean is that anytime you order something, we have no way to prove to you that we actually shipped it, and we have no way of knowing whether or not you got it. So, if we ship it, and you dont get it......what happens ? Nothing, except that you would probably get mad at us. So, what we offer is USPS Priority Mail which has a delivery confirmation number so that you know when we shipped it, and we know when you got it. And also, if you are not home, and the post office delivers it to your neighbor, and the notice falls off your door, we can still find it for you and get it for you. That is what costs the $4.05 The shipping costs are NOT INFLATED. Simply look them up yourself. Go the the
www.usps.gov and see what it costs for the first pound of something going anywhere.....its $4.05 We dont charge handling fees - we charge exact postage. Sorry you are unhappy. When you placed the order, it showed you the shipping costs. If you did not like them, you should have went to some other store to see if you could find that cable from someone who would be willing to run down to the post office for you and put the cable in an envelope or box and ship it for $1.50 - its not something that we offer, but Im sure someone out there does. Sorry. - I will never do business with them again because of this vicious letter. * Someone needs to take an ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASS.
