It's a COSTCO parking lot you dolts. You think CompUSA would ever need a lot with all those parking spots, not to mention all those shopping carts? Besides, it's clearly to the side of CompUSA and you can see their own lot kinda separated by a concrete partition.

There's a Costoc and Home Depot to the left but not visible in the photo.

Must of been students from UCSB with nothing to do during spring break.

You can't see the Costco. But the cart corrals (yellow poles with chains) are easily recognizable by Costco customers.

Costco also has large, metal carts with a mixture of blue and red handles.

On the left side of the screen you can see the huge orange 'flat bed' Costco shopping carts.

That's the very Costco I shop at sometimes.

This is about 1.5 miles from UCSB campus.

THe photographer's back is toward Costco, shooting toward the northwest.

That's Broadcast Peak visible over the top of CompUSA, approx. 4,000 feet, where most of this area's radio & TV broadcaster antennas are. That's covered in white snow in cold winters. Just down the other side of that mountain are the tourist town of Solvang & the Santa Ynez valley, home of excellent wine making, horse breeding, & movie stars.
