Isn't it strange how some people care more about animals than they do other people? I was just thinking about this.
 
Hahaha.

But really. I'd care more for my dog or cat than I do a stranger or someone I barely know. Animals are living things...and some people love theirs as they would a child.
 
i care more about my dog than most people. call me an idiot, but if you were both in a burning car and i could only save 1 in time, id pick my dog over most strangers, especially the OP.

You're not an idiot for it. You care for your dog. Love it, feed it, etc. There is a bond between you and it.

I don't see how someone can think another is 'sick' because they'd care for a animal over any human. If it was a friend/family member over a pet, i'd go with the friend/family...but strangers? Fvck em'!
 
Somebody recently sent me a joke....(but not really a joke).....that was in specific reference to pets...(more specifically, dogs)......it went something like this.......

Dear Lord, please help me to be the person that my dog thinks I am!!!

Notice how your dog gives you damn-near *unconditional* love??

Find another human being on the earth that will eagerly desire your attention or look forward to simply seeing you again and again on a more consistent basis, without a fraction of percentage of failing.....(the important part).......as much as a dog and I'll suggest you marry 'em 'cuz you ain't gonna find another!!

I don't think it's strange at all. I had a dog and I'd sacrifice plenty of strangers if it meant I could have him back for a few more days. I'd probably be willing to sacrifice a lot of people I do know too.

over most strangers? what would be the deciding factor in that? if someone is a stranger, then you know nothing of them, correct?

so the stranger could be some little girls daddy, a loving husband to a great wife, etc.
