Good card, if you're running under 3GB of RAM and a 32-bit OS
Reviewed By: Eddie S on 1/14/2008 Tech Level: average - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Excellently adaptable. Quick to set up and upgrade with. Overall a good card.
Cons: **Do not, repeat: DO NOT buy this MoBo if you're running, or planning to run, more than 3GB of RAM!!** Even w/ a 64bit OS you will NOT get more than 3.25 GB registered on this MoBo. The Chipset is limited to that max value.
Other Thoughts: After weeks and weeks of dealing with Biostar (the numbskulls there insisted that it was an OS limitation. I kept telling them it's not the OS, it's the board, cause I am running Win XP pro x64 which has a rediculous high memory limit). I asked them if they will come out with a Flash upgrade to remedy the problem ... no response from them so far.

Wow.

Special dudes exist for some reason I am sure, maybe just to provide us some humor.

I bet the Biostar "numbskulls" got a kick out of some jackass thinking he knows more about their product than they do even though they designed the thing.

A "special" flash? They should have sent him a "special" BIOS which sets up the computer to always flash a boot screen that reads "I am a total dipshizzer and I cry while yanking it everyday in the shower".

He could be telling the truth, perhaps the board/bios/chipset doesn't support memory remapping? He did say it was with a 64-bit OS that he wasn't seeing the whole memory amount.
