Anyway, I find tis story lacking some of the elements that make a "joke".

i agree, you may not find this funny. but fyi, "funny joke" is not an oxymoron. you might make an argument for hyperbole, but even that's a stretch. anyway, maybe next time my joke will be funnier :D
cheers

What's the difference between a 400hp Supra, a 600hp Supra, and an 800hp Supra?

None, they all run 12s. :)

I guess it would more sense if the cars were actually called quattro, but in reality, "quattro" is just a fancy name for an AWD system that is specific to Audi.

Audi did once make a car called the quattro. who knows...this joke might be 10 years old :D

-Vivan
haha - just goes to show that I don't know anything about old audis :p The joke would have to be 15+ years old :p

Audi Quattros

around in the 80s i think

-Vivan

um i think they made them well into the 90's
edit: it's a 4 wheel drive system

I drive a quattro. well actually a 5000/200 with quattro system.

from 1980-89 (iirc?? just cant remember) they made the ur-quattro (original quattro) quattro was the model name, because it was the model first to have the system. like the one in the pic posted above. Other models didn't get it until '86 in north america.. and i think 85(?) in europe.

they made a 550hp and a 1100(?) version for rally. kicked the sh]t out of a lot of other cars at the time.

i think its less, actually. its a 35hp engine, but surprisingly peppy. if one breaks down in the middle of the road, 3 guys pick it up and move it to the side... and you can drive one over your foot repeatedly and nothing will happen. :D
