Funny experience with Chinese delivery :)

Didn't feel like cooking today and it's too cold to go out so i decided to order some Chinese.

Well, the delivery guy just came and boy was i surprised! It was the owner himself, dressed in a black suite+tie, who delivered the food. Kinda makes me feel silly giving away the $2 tip.

its not uncommon if the owner delivers the food if there are probably two people working. 1 is the cook and 1 is the owner himself/herself. So the only person who can leave the place to deliver is the owner.

rootaxs, where I work, when we order Chinese food our deliver is almost always delived by the owner, but then again, it's right around the corner.

Well the restaurant is just a block away alright but what amazed me is the restaurant itself is one of the "swanky" type around... ya know, complete with waiters who wears a tie, waitresses wearing long chinese type dresses and white long sleeved shirts. Premium-grade table cloth's and wine glasses instead of regular glasses for water. Moody lighting, the works.

I got the combo ($6.60) so it was fairly cheap otherwise i'd pay roughly $15 for a dish alone.

Btw, i failed to mention... the guy was definitely an owner or one of the owners. He was riding a Benz... what looked like an S class. Dang!
