My grandpa in TN used to make us an old fashioned southern breakfast each morning when we visited each summer. He always called the biscuits catheads. I never thought much of it and got used to it pretty quickly.

On a side note he also spoke of eating squirrel brains but I don't think that name described anything but actual squirrel brains. I don't know to this day if he was kidding.

Anyone have any others?

We used to BBQ on our barges every couple of Fridays. One week, the piledriver foreman asked if we wanted to BBQ some "niggerheads."

WFT? I asked....turns out, (according to him) it's apparently another name (from gawd-knows-where) for ball-tip roasts...well marinatted and BBQ'd.

Never heard that one before, but damn, they sure wuz good eatin...
