( I don't know if this post bellongs here but anyway )

Today I visited one of those medium/large retail stores that sells oem computers...
( not a large oem, but a good size one for my contry )

In display there was a pentium III system with the following specs...
P3-1000Mhz
MB chipset 694x ( didn't say which )
128 PC133 ( didn't day cas )
30GB hard disk
SB live oem
17" digital monitor ( didn't say which )
CL Geforce2 MX

Now the weird part, it had winMe installed and 3DMark!!! I managed to run a the standard
test and the result was: 4350..... only that....

My PIII-650@650 ( not overclocked ), in a p3v4x, cheap 128 cas3 pc133 memory and Geforce SDR gets just around that in the default benchmark...when i overclok it to 866 and 910
it goes to around 4500 and 4800 respectivly....

So unless their using some sub par mainboard ( don't know ) the difference is the Geforce... but wasn't the MX supposed to give the same performance as the SDR???

Any opinnions?? Considerations ???

Just to give you a hint the price was around US$2000 + taxes...my system costed more than half that....So unless there something really wrong with their set up, i can't figure
how that 1GHz system is any better than my 650Mhz one.....

There is something really wrong with that...

My 3d mark score was just over 5700 and I have a P3 933, 256 CAS2, GF2MX... ;)
